Warehousing in GermanyMultimodal
Two modes on one booking: a container or an air shipment arrives in Germany and a truck takes it to the final address.
Choosing between sea, air and road
Three things usually decide it: how much you want to pay per kilo, when the goods must arrive, and how big the shipment is. Sea is the cheapest way to move volume between continents, but it takes weeks. Air takes days and costs several times more per kilo. Road covers Europe itself and the last stretch from the port or airport.
- Sea freight
- Lowest cost per unit and the longest transit. Suits heavy or bulky cargo, from a few pallets (LCL) to full containers (FCL).
- Air freight
- Fastest between continents and the highest cost per kilo. Suits urgent, light or high-value goods.
- Road freight
- The standard choice inside Europe. Suits anything from a single pallet to a full 13.6 m trailer.
If you’re unsure, send us the weight, dimensions and deadline. We’ll quote the options side by side.
One leg or the whole route
You can book a single part of the journey with us, for example only the ocean leg, only the import clearance in Hamburg, or only the truck from the terminal to your warehouse. That works well if your supplier or another forwarder already covers the rest.
You can also hand over the whole route, door to door. We collect from the supplier, book the main transport, clear customs in Germany and deliver to the final address. You deal with one contact and get one itemised quote.
DDP for exporters in Asia
If you sell from Asia to buyers in Germany, we can ship DDP (delivered duty paid). Under this Incoterm the seller pays freight, import duty and import VAT, and the buyer receives the goods with nothing further to settle at the border.
Lanes we handle
We ship from China, India and Pakistan to Hamburg and onward in Germany and the EU. Each lane has its own page with typical transit times, origin ports and customs notes.

Questions about our services
How do I get a quote?
Send the origin, destination, type of goods and approximate size through the contact form. We reply to quote requests within 24 business hours.
Do you handle German customs clearance?
Yes. We can clear the goods in Germany as part of the shipment or as a separate service. See customs clearance for what we need from you.
Can you plan the whole route, door to door?
Yes. We can plan the route from the supplier’s door to your warehouse, or take only one leg, such as the ocean freight or the final truck delivery.
How do I choose between sea, air and road freight?
Sea freight is usually the cheapest per kilogram and the slowest. Air freight is the fastest and costs the most per kilogram. Road freight is the usual choice for deliveries within Europe. The FAQ goes into more detail.
What do you need to price a shipment?
The origin and destination, what the goods are, the number and size of the packages or the volume, the weight and the date you need them. The freight calculators help with volume and weight.
